CBS James Street is a co-educational, second level school. It was first established in 1820 in the heart of the Liberties, Dublin 8 as an all boys school. The first female students enrolled in September 2016

We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that helps all students to fulfil their full potential.

We have an excellent progression rate to Third Level Colleges. We are also very fortunate to have many scholarships for our students entering third level.

We pride ourselves on our pastoral approach. We encourage students to get involved in intellectual and sporting activities, student leadership and extra-curricular activities.
